A wedding band is not costume jewelry....to be worn when one chooses. It represents vows taken, and means SOMETHING. Thus it remains on one's finger thru thick and thin, health and sickness, in good times and bad, and thru cleaning floors and toilets.
Please respect his wishes, AND remind him of this fact, as well.

This one should be obvious to you. He is feeling hurt and worried, he obviously loves you very much and he may be a bit paranoid or insecure but that's just shows his love, i understand taking it off to do the housework but you should make a habit of checking before you leave the house every day, then you will get into a routine of never leaving it behind.

It might be that to him it is a symbol of your loyalty. Not wearing it says to him that you are looking for someone better.
If you're not wearing it because it irritates your hand, have you told him this?
While you are ok with his not wearing his, he doesn't see it the same way. Ask him why he gets so bent out of shape. His answer may help you come to an understanding.

if u r leaving it off when ur going out for an evening he might think u r being unfaithful. but if it is only while u r doing chores tell him that the rings mean a lot to u and u don,t want to damage them

He feels that you are cheating on him or don't want to acknowledge the fact that you are married when you take that ring off.

He is a wee bit insecure about it, and wants you to wear it to show people you meet you are not single, plus if he paid good money for it, he wants you to wear it, its okay, he cares about you. Tell him if you gotta wear yours, he should too, lol
