anybody else like this song? i heard it the other day for the first time and its now my favorite xmas song

It's difficult not to, the Kinks are one of my 3 favorite bands all time.
Although Ray sings from the point of view of the guy in the Father Christmas suit, it's obvious in reality he identifies with the gang of poor kids that mugged him in the song.
Many of his songs touch on money, the English class system, the haves vs. the have-nots...so it's not surprising he worked this angle into a Xmas-themed song as well.
And of course you gotta like a Xmas song that actually works in some serious power chords (it's OKAY to rock even at Xmas time!).
The video is kinda fun, too, I remember seeing it a couple times. I think this song was very late 70's or very early 80's, so it was right around the beginning of MTV.

definite i love this music very a lot. I also imagine that's the superb patriotic music ever written. i love lots of Lee Greenwood's songs yet that is with the help of a procedures what he's maximum well-loved for and rightfully so.
