If you would like him to, ask him!!! You are far enough along that it wouldnt hurt. But, if you are scared, and dont want to, ask for ideas on what you can do to combat the situation. He would most likely put you on bed rest! Which might be nice, considering the rest you get, after the baby comes is minimal!! You call the shots, not the doctor. It is your body, and you need to listen to it, and make the best choices for your baby. You can follow your doctors recommendations, or you can listen to what your body needs and wants! Good Luck!! And, congrats!

I am sorry you are going through so much pain and discomfort.
I think it's time you took maternity leave. You need to rest. I think you have sciatica which although is very painful isn't a reason to force a baby from the womb before it's ready.
Inudction is an inervention which should only be used if the mother or childs health are at risk. Once the baby's head is off your sciatic nerve you should feel relief.
I would see a physiotherapist to help ease the pain.

Good luck

can;t ask to hurt most dr. who are willing will do it if your at least 39 weeks and some what dialiated and efaced otherwise the risk of the induction not taking is higher. you could have sciatica or it could also be your hips when you get to the end of your preg. your bones in your hips can start to kinda cause friction on each other causing this pain there is nothing you can do about it but rest and take a load off those feet.. good luck and i agree with the other person TAKE YOUR MATERNITY LEAVE!!!!!
