I remember being a little girl who couldn't wait to see what Santa had brought me, so I woke my folks up at 4:00am, they sent me back to bed, and told me to go back to sleep. Every 15 minutes I would be back in their room asking if it was time to get up yet. My parents always made us come to their room and wake them up first so that dad could go light up the tree, and watch our faces light up with all the expressions children have.
We finally got up around 5:30am, and I remember dad remarking we were up before the birds and any neighbors we had at the time.
The warm fuzzy feeling I get is thinking back to those days of innocence and remembering the impatience and excitement of little children - and how beautiful the tree looked lit up in the dark (5:30am) with all our presents from Santa under the tree.
Thank you for giving me a moment to share my memory - sometimes in the hustle and bustle of things I forget to look back to the simpler days and the joys of being a child.

Running back and forth between my cousins rooms to see who's digital clock was faster, we could not wake the adults up until 8am. Then my brother, cousins, and I would sing We Wish You A Merry Christmas with our own words about wanting to go downstairs and open our gifts. One year my brother played the saxophone.

I was 12 and my first niece was born that morning. I was opening my presents when we got the call. It was the best present that year by far!
