They do make larger miter boxes, but you probably won't need it beyond this project, so maybe you should consider renting a miter saw from Home Depot. Crown molding that size can be pretty awkward.

Yes, there is.. at the local Home Depot or Lowe's store but..... you would have to weight the cost of purchsing a larger mitor box with the amount of crown molding that you want to cut

I am a little bit perplexed though because I have seen miter boxes that can cut regardless of the inches desired.. that is what I am failing to understand in your question

to cut crown on the flat set your box to 31.125 there should be a presets. Other wise just get a bigger box and use crown stops or I always just cut off a small piece and when it is flat on the fence and the table I mark the possistion with a pencil on the tables as to get the same angle every time. Also cope all your inside corners so it snaps together, it gets it a lok tighter. oh yeah if all else fail rent a box from the rental place (whatever it may be in your area)

Yes. you can buy one at a local hardware store. They start around $25 and go up.
