Some kind of activity all day long almost everyday! Not just reading or on the PC. That is good for the brain only.
Smoking, a no! no! Illegal drugs, a no! no!
Veggies big time all the time! Fruits everday. Oat meal, yum! yum! Pizza once in awhile. Liqueurs once in awhile
And some kind of prayer. But 5 times a day is over doing it! To each religion their own I imagine. But zealousness can be very unhealthy for a long life. This is just what has worked for moi.

Eating well-
Exercising-
Maintaining some structure and routine-
Having meaning and purpose in life- being engaged. I've noticed people who work longer are healthier than those who do less. Some stress slows down the aging process.
Keeping weight down.
Such is the prescription for a long, healthy life.

Being happy (content) with who you are has got to be near the top, other factors that can increase longevity are exercise (or staying active both physically and mentally) and diet. There are also studies that cite companionship, or having a network of people who care about you, increases length of life. Love life and it will love you back. :)

To a large extent it's a matter of luck. Otherwise, the usual suspects apply. Good diet, exercise, no damaging drugs, etc. Also, friends.

P.S. should this question not be in the "health" section?
