your chances of "sticking" a shuriken are far greater than a kunai. Contrary to what hollywood and naruto would have you believe, throwing knives do NOT fly straight as an arrow. But then again a kunai can be used as a hand dagger wheras a shuriken is exclusively a throwing weapon. Take your pick.

It's kinda hard to say...Well, to begin with, kunai wasn't really used as much as anime and manga fans believe. It was a gardening tool, and when ninjas disguised themselves as gardeners, they could use this as a weapon. It was almost never used as a throwing weapon unless you were a ninja who could throw knives. Shuriken was much more convenient because of the hole in the middle, allowing the to be kept on a small string on the side of a ninja. They could throw many of them, and could poison tip them.Though, sometimes kunai were used as a normal weapon because of being not to expensive. But if you ran out of shuriken....you would be in trouble. In manga and anime, kunai is definitely the best, because users can carry many of them, throw them, and use them as daggers.
