I worked as a cleaner in a doctors office and was told not to clean them. They were all LCD screens. So what did I do, I cleaned them. I've been told that you can't clean them but thats a buncha BS. I used a soft piece of cotton like an old T-shirt. But here's the trick. Let PC screen be warm when you do this. Make sure it has been on. Now take Windex stand far back and mist screen real lightly. Start wiping from side to side, no circles. Do not press hard, just touch it. The heat from the monitor will cause it to dry rapidly. I swear this works, and I have never ruined a screen.

Use a very soft cloth and if the fingerprints aren't oily or anything like that, just use a light mist of water and wipe carefully. They make a screen cleaner that is supposed to remove oily or sticky stuff from the screen but I have never used it.
