No. I want people to believe whatever they believe. Diversity makes the world interesting. I would prefer that all people have a conscience & be good people but they can do this without being Christian. As long as they believe in something positive, some higher power that encourages goodness, they might be Buddhists, Hindus, Muslims, Jews or Druids for all I care. Even if they don't believe in a higher power, I've met Atheists that are good people.

I want people to be themselves. But I prefer if they're kind about it & don't ridicule or attack others who may not agree with them. We're all in this world together. We may not see eye to eye but we should at least respect each other & get along. I hate it when people are closed-minded & claim that they are right & everyone else is either damned or ignorant etc etc.

I am a Christian but I don't force my beliefs down anyone's throat & I don't really care if people disagree with my beliefs. Faith is something you either have or you don't. No point arguing about it.

Wow, this has created a little controversy. I am a Christian, and as I put in my profile, I would love for everyone to convert to Christianity.

In response to auntb93, I think that Christians may start out doing what's right to "avoid going to hell and be tormented for eternity," but that becomes a thing of the past once your heart is filled with the joy of Christ. You're new mission to try and live like Jesus did, and worship God in a way that he will appreciate. Also, being "fair" is not an issue. It is not for me, a human, to judge whether someone who lived a life of evil and converts in the last five minutes of his/her life can enter into heaven. Although our goal is to live as Jesus does, NO ONE succeeds, we all sin and we have no business comparing our "level" of sin to another. God does not grade your sins, a lie is as bad as murder, so there is sense in trying to compare in human terms.

Diversity is neat and we learn a lot from each other. That does not change the fact that I, as a Christian, love my brothers and sisters of this world. This love for humankind gives me a desire to share my joy with them. If the entire world were Christian, we would not lose our diversity, we would have more in common, yes, but diversity is not only religious - it is made up of differences in culture, family, geography, and many other things (religious beliefs included, but just a part of the "diverse world").

If all people were Christian would we have peace on earth and no murder? Absolutely not, man is inherently evil, no matter his religion. It is our struggle to maintain a faith in God, and live as he wants us to live. People would still do everything they do now because we all backslide. People have, and will, kill in the name of God until the end of time. Unfortunately there will always be radicals who shape the word of God in a way that justifies their beliefs (and killings). These are the people that give all religion a bad name, and hurt any credibility we have.

Even today we have ministers such as Fred Phelps who spew hate against homosexuals and other groups. Fifty years ago white ministers said whites & blacks shouldn't mix "because God didn't want it to happen." This is not what God wants. We are to love everyone, even sinners - because we are all sinners. I'm not saying that homosexuality is a sin, because I don't know how God views it; but if it is, I am as bad a sinner as they are and do not deserve any better treatment than them.

So, yes I wish all people were Christians, but more than that, I wish all people could be touched by God in a way that they strive to live for him. The love that God provides is a beautiful thing, and I wish we all could love each other as God loves us.

No. The world would be cheesy and stupid. If you want to convert all the poeple in the world into one religion, you should find a cooler religion, like taoism or something.
I just hate it when Christians think that they are the best guys on earth, the superior religion, and that everyone should follow them. Some even say that only Christians can go to heaven. And whenever you find a valid argument against them, they hide behind their precious Bible. Can you believe how concieted these guys are?

At university in oratory class we talk about this question - "do need all people to believe in 1 religion?" Why all people to be Christian? What is matter if all people will be Christian? Every body is free to choose what religion to believe/in what to believe... All people born in country and family whit some religion (we cant to change our born country, family), but after year this kid grow up and maybe fell that believe other religion (or not believe in some religion - atheist)... Important in this question is that every religion mush to live in PEACE and HARMONY!!!

No, but that was easy for me because I am not a Christian myself. Let's ask whether it would be reasonable for a Christian to want all people to be Christian.

He is taught that anyone who does not believe is going to go to hell, and be in torment for eternity. Now, maybe it is hard to believe, but he tries hard, because he does not want to go to hell and be in torment for eternity. So the way to convince himself it is true is to accept the entire teaching as true, in a sort of "premise" sort of way: make the assumption it is true and build your life accordingly.

OK, now you don't want to go to hell and be in torment for eternity. And you are told that the way to salvation is through this particular organization -- the in-crowd. Naturally, if you are kind, you do not want anyone to go to hell and be in torment for eternity. So you want everyone to be Christian.

Problem: Do you REALLY want the nastiest sinners to convert, be saved, and go to heaven, just like all those folks who behaved decently all their lives? Is that fair?

Dark shadows of doubt appear . . . run from the dark shadows into greater insistence that Yes, you do believe, you do, you really do . . . and resume trying to convert the rest of the world, always looking over your shoulder as doubt creeps up on you.

It's not an easy life. Have some compassion.

Me personally, like to.

But as told, not all people can be saved.Only the chosen one.
You can tell everyone to be Christian, but it's useless if they are not chosen.Only God's grace allowed them.

No, I just the world to live in peace, we can have our different beliefs about God but all religions have the same basic things in them and it is basically "doing unto others as you would have them do unto you."
