It depends on how often you wear it. If it has been left in your closet for like 6 months or more with no movement, I would dry clean it before I need to wear it. If you wear it all the time, you should dry clean it every 2/3 times that you wear it. Or, do it based on how often you wash your clothes. If you wash your kaki's after you wear them once, then dry clean your suit after you wore it once. Point is, dry cleaning is never really a "have to." It's more of a "should" when you have to weigh the price of dryclean vs. how clean you'd like to keep it.
