i like Dylan. But I also like the fact that you were thinking of Samuel Joseph. Not only is it a strong name but to change it around so it is somewhat named after you is really cool.

Your man is extremely presumptuous to expect that he'll get to name all the children. Dylan is okay, but it certainly isn't worth repeating. Samuel Joseph is cuter anyway, and why not name the baby after you? Then see how he likes it when you suggest Samuel Joseph or Samantha Jo for #3. Maybe he'll get the picture.

If you really like the name Dylan then use it for the baby's name. Tell your husband/boyfriend/baby's daddy, how you feel. That this in fact isn't the Foreman family and you aren't going to use his name AGAIN. I actually like Samuel Joseph but as he gets older he will probably gain the nickname "Sam", so if it is already your nickname it could get confusing too. I say be original and go with your first choice. Congrats on your baby and good luck with the name.

I think Dylan is good. I wouldn't want three male figures in the house all with the same name... but if your husband won't go for Dylan see what he says about Samuel Joseph.

use Dylan and use your hubby's name as a middle name, if he already has a son named after him, that is a little much to name #2 after him too! Samuel Joseph is awesome too, but stick with what you like, good luck it isn't easy coming up with names both agree on, it took me an my hubby almost 9 months to agree, and he gave in !! LOL

I agree that one child named directly after the father (or mother for that matter) is enough in one house. I also like Samuel Joseph, it's a very stong, traditional sounding name. HOWEVER, since it is your child, if you like Dylan, stick to your guns and tell your husband that you'll not have 10 Bobs (or what ever his name is) running around your house. He got first born, he can't have them all.

I think that is a good idea to name him after you. Samuel Joseph is very cute. Samuel is my middle sons name. Dont let him talk you into naming yoursecond after him too. Tell him he sounds like he is full of himself. Go with Samuel if he insists on naming the baby after someone.

I really like samuel joseph. He got to name the first baby after him so you get this one. Talk it out with him but definitely don't name the second baby after him too.
