yes, he does exist.
I have a 13 year old daughter, she caught him on tape two years ago, and she is going to try again this year.
We were very surprised to see the video, and so is every friend of hers who watches it every time!
By the way, I've just read some of the answers, and even though Alter Ego thinks he is too intelligent, all those calculations can only prove how wrong he is, how sad his childhood must have been, and how sour his present life is, just to be trying to spoil magical things, like Christmas and Santa Claus, for the rest of us.
SG1 alias, you should have a monument dedicated!! great pages, Just loved your answer!!!

Yes!! Im not a kid but he does! Ok so last year I went to disneyworld over Christmas time and my parents said they wouldnt put any more present under the tree than was already w\there because the trip cost $7000. When we came back on New Years under the tree had so many presents! Also, well ok this is retarded but I wrote a note for him and he wrote back on the note! Our whole family wasnt home so it had to be him! Does Santa come in India I dont know. He does in America. Also I am n India for Christmas and when I get back I bet there will be presents.
ST.Nick (Santa) was narried to Jessica (now Jessica claus) and she was a school teacher and St.Nick used to make toys and give them to the kids in that town. That was how the 1st X-mas was.

like all myths, stories and legends they are based off of something, somewhere of someplace.
in the case of santa claus, he was mostly based on saint nicholas, a midevial man of the church. he aparently used to place candy, or food/bread, etc, in the shoes of poor children and when they awoke the next day they had a treat.
it kind of evolved from there, although it seems to have merged with the beliefs of other countries that turned him into a gnome type creature, and then I'd say in the early 20th centrury coca cola made santa more human like and thats ...(the short story) of how the department store santa, became santa.

Santa Clause and always will exist if we continue believing in him. If you stop then he will be so heartbroken that he won't bring you presents anymore. That's why so many older people say he is fake, because they're just maad cause he did'nt bring them anything!

well not santa the one who comes every Christmas and leaves you presents...but santa as in St. Nicholas did exist!!
And recent research in Manchester Uni suggests that St. Nic was a turkish pope who use to help the poor...and the concept we have of santa came about because where he lived there was a poor man with three daughters and he couldnt afford to get them married so St. Nic use to drop coins through the chimney for them! Now how much of that is true you'll have to ask Manchester Uni!!!
