The software should protect your PC from viruses. Also, install an anti spyware and scan the PC. I can give a few links that offer free spyware removers...! . Ad-aware, Ewido are free spyware removers. You can download free softwares at http://fixit.in/spywareremover.html
If antivirus and spyware remover software does not work, you can try to restore the computer to an older working configuration. Detailed instructions are posted at http://fixit.in/systemrestore.html

That used to be scareware urging you to hit its internet site. Since you went there, it is going to now have downloaded a few truly malware. It's now time for a few truly scans. If you will have an anti-virus, be certain it has the trendy virus definitions and run a test with it in Safe Mode or Safe Mode with Networking. That as a rule prevents malware from protective itself. If you don’t have one, many men and women right here swear by means of AVG (it’s unfastened). I endorse you additionally down load Ad-Aware Free and Spybot S&D (they’re unfastened), set up them, replace them and run them, once more in Safe Mode With Networking. Also, flip off System Restore to evict any copies of dangerous stuff that possibly lurking there. To get into Safe Mode or Safe Mode with Networking: a million. Log out and reboot your laptop. two. When the laptop begins the reboot series, press the F8 key commonly. three. Select Safe Mode or Safe Mode with Networking from the ensuing menu. four. Login. If the malware has modified your password, check out logging in as Administrator. By default, Administrator has no password. five. The laptop will hold booting, however the Windows computer will seem specific. 6. When you are completed doing what you ought to do, log off and reboot again into average mode. Note that although the anti-malware systems do away with the malware, they is probably not capable to opposite the consequences. Search the Web for feasible fixes. Update and run the whole thing probably, no longer simply whilst you feel you have already got malware. Good good fortune.

Anti-Virus is a reactive protection measure, so the virus would very possibly infect your system before the anti virus could or would take care of the problem. Just make sure the you keep it updated and you'll have the best protection protection possible from anti-virus software.

Its impossible to know what the virus is capable of because there are so many different varieties of them.

To prevent this from happening again, i suggest you get a good firewall. Zone alarm is one of the best.

Only if the virus is detectable by antivirus software. Hopefully security companies are becoming aware of what is going on and have a detection definition for it.

You won't get a virus from clicking on those links.. And if you DID get a virus from that, yes, your virus protection software should stop it.

You will not get a virus. It will not affect your computer in any way. It is a spammer. Help yahoo by reporting them and giving them a thumbs down.

I don't think so. These are the "fly by night people" who get some type of monetary reward from how many hits they get on a website. They are on Q&A almost every day and earm at least 10,000 points with their answers in one day.
PLEASE REPORT THEM.
