i offered my Mitsubishi Lancer type new and am getting new ceramic ruin pads placed on. I have been given slightly over 129,000 miles out of the ceramic pads that got here with the motor vehicle. i'm an quite easy breaker. some human beings will possibly no longer even get 60,000 miles out of those pads.

Ceramics are quieter and produce less dust but semi-metalics have better heat resistance - which is why they are still popular for trucks and hihg-performance vehicles.
My recommendation - stick with whatever the manufacturer or your vehicle recommends.

depends on the loose nut behind the wheel, and how much weight is applied to the system and how often, al in all good parts should last indefinately, but not forever
