Ok i came off the pill in october 10th bled for 2 days. Came on again 22nd november. (39 days to come on).For a week and a half i have had very sore breasts, and they are slightly swollen, Now they dont hurt.

Im not sure when ive ovualted, or when i will as i had a 39 day cycle last month and i know that when coming off the pill it can mess you up a bit.

Anyone can tell me if this is normal and when roughly do women ovulate with a 39 day cycle? I have heard lots of different things.

No silly answers please, thanks x.

You will have ovulated 12-16 days before your period. So between days 23-27.

You might want to take this oppertunity to learn Natural Family Planning. It is as effective as the pill, has no side effects and is immediately reversible when you decide to have kids!

when i came off the pill after 5 years of taking it, my periods were also on a 39 day cycle. I got pregnant last December and working out LMP and due date, my midwife worked out conception would have taken place 3 weeks after start of my last period (as opposed to 2 weeks when you have a normal 28-30 day cycle) As far as your symptoms go, i remember feeling like i was due on then lost all period symptoms all together for a few weeks. Then breasts began to hurt again etc. coming off the pill can make period cycle a bit array but not lessen your chances of concieving, i am proof of that. I wish you all the luck in the world for starting your family, its amazing once it happens and you sound like you really want it. good luck, mammamia x

I came off the pill and had 2 regular periods. Then my period was late and I had sore boobs and I thought it was just the pill messing me up but actually I was pregnant!
It's very hard to tell when you ovulated after coming off the pill, as my ovulation wasn't regular even though my periods were.
Really the only well to tell if you are pregnant is to do a test. It might take a little while to get a positive test as your periods are irregular.

When i came off the pill it took me about 6 weeks to get pregnant or rather to find out i was pregnant.
If i was you i would try using an ovulation calendar, if you type it in a search engine it will give you your rough ovulation date.
Your next period should be what your normal cycle is going to be so you should have a better idea if you dont get pregnant this time.
good luck!

I hope you are pregnant. I too am trying for a baby, I use an menstral and ovulation calender from MyMonthlyCycles.com, you can track your previous cycles, daily "symptoms" such as bloating, cramps etc, and will provide dates for when your next period is due, when you can expect to ovulate, and your average cycle length.

Good Luck and try not to worry (I know it's easier said than done)

uh, first of all I hope you are old enough to handle the responsiblities that you get when you bring a child in to the world but I think you should talk to your doctor he/she will answer any questions you may have

best of wishes
