I guess kids can fall in love. I personally believe that to them, it's infatuation - merely obsession (not necessarily to the extent of extremity)!
But to answer the second part of your question, Love is really abstract - it's all in the mind so it's almost impossible to interpret what kind of love that somebody (no matter what the age) feels. However, I would not expect a 10 year old to refer to love romantically but the point is that what may seems like romance to somebody could just be plain resentment to another.

I think that when a kid "falls in love" it isnot love it is infatuation because at a tender age you can't say i love someone because you dont know exactly the meaning of love. For a kid love is just a word who's meaning is staying with a person and holding hands and maybe kissing on the cheek.
When you mature you come to know the real meaning of loving someone.

Yes, kids do feel that they fall in "love", mostly adolescents. But that "love" is just an attraction towards opposite sex, not the one that a matured mind feels as "love". The teenage love may waver off after some time, but a matured and genuine love stays and acts as a support for the whole of life.... :-)

I'm not sure about kids, but I'm 100% sure teenagers do. Adults think that teenagers are too young to fall in love but we too have very deep feelings for some people. It's possible.

it's hard to tell what love is.. i guess.

love could be that feeling that makes your heart skip a beat, but if you wanna get technical, love has different kinnds of.. "forms"? hahaha.

like love b/t family and friends... infatution.. lust..

but i hate that. i guess kids can fall in love.. but thhey don't know a lot about life. they haven't been through hurt, and pain.

For girls, it's desperate infatuation. For boys it's hope of sex..
