The unfortunate BHOPAL GAS TRAGEDY was happened in 02 Dec 1984 which claimed many lives and crippled lakhs of them. Till today government is planning to give more compensation for the victims as it was one of the most deadliest accident in Indian History.
Actually what happened was there were 3 large tanks of Methyl Iso Cyanate. Many pipes were running from and to the 3 huge tanks. Accidentally a dirty water entered in one of the pipes which had direct connection with the tanks. As the water got mixed with the dirty water, there was a huge explosion.
