I can understand other peoples' emotions really well. More than they realize. I'm practically a mind reader! lol But I hardly ever understand my own emotions and I am extremely emotional.

Yes that's exactly most people feel..And if u notice, the emotions, u think u can understand of others, are the ones u are going through. It is actually because u can relate to them.We are under the stress of those emotions that when u find someone with the same kind of problems u want to listen to them and wanna solve them.Undergoing so much emotional turmoil we wish someone could understand us too the way we understand others. But we are disappointed when we don't find someone who would react the way we want them to and thus feel that they don't understand us.The reason being that their perception of that emotion might be different.

because we share the same emotions, we all have some understanding. wile we can know to an extent what others are feelling. we have no true measurement. we can all hide our emotions in part or hide one emotion and not another. while guessing how people "feel" or what emotion they may be having is one way. asking is another. as for understanding, we all feel the same emotions for the same reasons. varying degrees, but the same emotions.

Yes, I surely do. People tend to gorget that all people have emotions which is caused by circumstances or past incidents which effect personalities, emotions, etc... I have taught my kid to not be aggresive towards a child at school that insults her or is just plain rude (To a point)- I have explained that that kid could be going through a form of abuse or heartache at home and this is the reason for their attitude. I live my life by always putting my boddy and soul into another persons situation before judging or disliking them....

Understanding someones emotions whether you personally agree (or can relate with them) or not is called empathy. Sympathy is when you can relate because you went through something similar in the past.
I use empathy because I'm an infj-temperament. If you feel that you may use empathy, try a personality test. The site will help you with pointers on sorting your own emotions from others.
Good luck.

Yes, I think I do. But it takes a lot to understand people's emotions, its dangerous to guess and hard to know. But a little tinge of sensitivity and thinking abt the situation, placing urself in place of others takes u a long way in maintaining good relations. I am right? :-)
