Yes, without a doubt. Not all bad though. Some are just looking for help. I have been seeing them since I was 7. That's when I had my first weird experience. I was in bed trying to sleep and I felt like I was lying flat on my back and I couldn't move. I was only in 3 feet of water. And I started screaming and screaming for help but nothing hardly came out because my mouth was full of water it felt and sounded like. I just kept sinking and sinking until I drowned. Then I just had a sore throat from screaming and crying and trying to yell. I ran into my parents room and asked if I could sleep with them. Of course it was that night my Mom couldn't sleep cause my Dad was snoring too loud so they told me I had to go back to my bed. I pleaded with my Mom until she finally let me. Then I told her what happened when Dad fell back to sleep.
The next day before school my Mom came out and told me that a 21 year old guy had drowned in 3 ft of water at Wabamum Lake at the same time I was going though it last night.
As I got older I started to see them at the end of my bed or in the rear view mirror of the car I was in. It could have been anywhere. I have seen so many and have so many stories its unreal. The most recent really scary one was not a ghost but something else that entered my body and dragged me off a rathe high bed while I was pregnant. It dragged me by the hair to the top of the stairs and would have thrown me down but I passed out. It was a very scary entity.

Hi annjones84,

Yes. One of the most publicized was the legend of the Bell Witch in Tennessee, and one of the most well known witnesses was none other than the honorable Andrew Jackson, a past president of the United States. Read about his encounter below.

Go here for a look:

http://www.bellwitch.org/story.htm

As a point of interest, the above website has recorded a total number of visits as 13,254,430, that's 13 and 1/4 million visitors.

When I was a boy, new neighbors from Tennessee had mentioned several times about the Bell Witch, and when I was in High School, one of my teachers, a gentleman from Tennessee also brought up the Bell Witch.

All you non believers out there, . . . .A closed mind is like a locked door, . . . .You are forever locked in, until you allow reality and the truth to set you free.

Note: Since posting this answer, less than 24 hours ago, the above web site now shows 13,258.570 which is over 4,000 visitors since this posting, probably all Yahoo Q&A members.

Good question, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Darryl S.

Yes. There is a spirit inside of you. Our bodies are just like an empty glove, your spirit is what makes you special and what makes you exist. Ghosts are spirits that have passed on but I'm not sure how that works. It's not like on the movies though.

I believe they do. I have slept (not knowing!) in two haunted houses and been in three more. It was very obvious something was wrong there.

In one of the houses, it was my sister's in Spain, I got such a funny feeling I went upstairs to sleep in my parent's room. I'm 21! Haha. I was told afterwards that my sister had seen a ghost in the house a few times.

If you are talking about "halloween" type ghosts and spirits they may exist but they are not of God. You would be wise not to mess with it.

My dad and nana recently died and I truly like to believe they come to visit me... One night last week i was sitting at home and talking to them and asked them to give me sign they were there because i was going through a really rough patch, a few seconds later the lights started to flicker. Whether or not it was coincidence, it was still very eerie!

I don't know. I've never seen anything like a ghost, but other people say they have.

a murder was solved because the killer was haunted by the victim's ghost causing him to confess... the victim was found in in an old well and was sealed by cement (sounds like "the ring" movie but its true..)

victims residents were also haunted by the victim.. residents say they saw the victim's ghost..

the killer's friends who new about the murder but didnt tell were also haunted.. reports say they recieved telephone calls that sounded the victims voice..
