Mold is there because moisture remains on the siding for long periods of time. There is most likely inadequate air flow to dry the siding. So, cleaning the mold from the siding will not be a long term solution. You must correct the underlying causes before cleaning.
Use a pressure washer with a siding cleaner. Apply as directed. Use caution with the pressure washer as getting too close to the house will cause water to infiltrate into the wall cavity, which will make for a very unhappy day. You can use a ladder, bucket and water and a brush, then rinse with a garden hose as well. Hope this helps.

JUST LIKE GETTING LOST IN THE WOODS, THE MOLD AND ALGAE GROWS ON THE NORTH AND EAST SIDE. THE MAIN REASON IT IS NOT EXPOSED TO THE SUN AND THE MOISTURE THERE IS THE ELEMENT TO ALLOW THESE GROWTHS.
ONE OF THE WAYS TO CLEAN IS MIST SPRAY WITH WATER, THEN WITH A BRUSH OR SPRAYER WITH AND ATTACHMENT APPLY 1 PART BLEACH AND 5 PARTS WATER , USING A LOW PRESSURE THIS WILL WASH IT OFF.THEN RINSE IT OFF. IN THE HOUSTON AREA WHERE HUMIDITY IS HIGH YEAR AROUND THIS NEED TO BE DONE AT LEAST TWICE A YEAR. AND WHO SAID THAT VINYL SIDING IS MAINTENANCE FREE?

You should not use high pressure on siding, it will drive water into the seams. Use the bleach/water mixture as suggested. It will stop growth for a year. There is no better way to clean siding than to scrub by hand and rinse lightly with a hose.

Go buy one of those pump up garden sprayers.
5 parts warm water.
1 part bleach.
Spray the affected area, and leave it alone.
It will take about an hour for the soution to work.
Now, spray it off with your hose.
