Im a medical student.can someone please guide me on the scope of pharmacology as a career option.

Well its a less treaded path. There are few medical pharmacologists actually. Their job prospects though are very bright in pharmaceutical companies.
Another option is to keep doing research or get into the teaching profession after that, but for that you'll also have to do a PhD
Again it would be more advisable if you first look at the job opportunities in India, in consultation with some of your faculty members and also surfing on the net. Perhaps opportunities in the west (USA, EU) will be brighter due to advancements in medical science and also the big pharmaceutical giants there.
