laptop CONFIGURATION REQUIREMENTS, AND needs, please read and advice accordingly?

I need a lapton: I am a college going student

I have a med. price range: nothing too expensive:

I need :

Dvd player
Speakers
work-processing
presentations
a very good service plan
identification system
lots of space -
floppy and cd drive

and i dunno yet, recomend something plz

Try the Compaq Presario M2000 series. You wont get floppy drive with it. However, you will get a Combo Drive. That means, it can read CDs and DVDs and it can write CDs. So you can use CDs instead. And those notebooks support everything else. Speakers and all. And I think 40GB space will be enough for you.
