i am a student on a media arts course and in the first year of my degree i previously studied media effects. the media effects debate is basically about the effects the media has on people. issues such as media violence, sex in the media and link between media violence with real acts of violence are covered and raised. this is linked to arguments such as the media is a form of propoganda anda way of brainwashing people into thinking a certain way. if you type in katz and lazerfeld in the search engine, there should be a list of resources and articles in relation to mass media effects
