I am palnning to buy a notebook but Iam confused which one to choose. Which one is the best 802.11a/b/g, 802.11b/g or 802.11g? what is the difference?

wireless a is an older type of wifi and its not very compatible and very slow

wireless b is around 3 megs per second and very compatible

G is fast and mostly compatible

but usualy g can be switched to b (maybe a)

so go with g or b but if you can. ty hopr this was useful

only makes sense to go with the .11g adapter, it is backwards compatible with b & a.

802.11b was the first version of the specification to be released, then .11a now .11g.
