about cost, and being a working class lad, I beleive the queen only costs us a quid, however her ministers have put thousands upon thousands of us out of work when they decided to sabatage our industries. which has cost us very very dear,The queen recognises tony blair as being a traitor, as i do the quenn does not seem to be to blame for the working mans situation. as her power is extreemly limited, personaly i think she should send the troops in and defend us from her own ministers, as regards love i would reserve my love for whoever rescues our country from european occupation

no i do not love the queen at all. she is not 'my queen' either.

I respect her just as I would any other human - but thats as far as it goes.

I choose who I love or loathe, that is my choice and not to be enforced upon me by any system - especially a system I disagee with.

I personally think the monarchy should be fased out - as in when this queen dies, no one else is crowned. They can keep their money, but the land taken away and no more given to them. The famliy would still be rich, and this way, they can still leave a comfortable lives.

The annoying thing about royalists is that they dont see that the queen could in theory throw out parliament and become a murderous dictator. They wouldnt be so pro royal than would they.

I'm scots and don't consider her to be my queen. She is the english queen. Before anyone accuses me of being racist or something may I point out that her title is Queen Elizabeth the second? As Scotland has never had a Queen Elizabeth 1st I think that says it all. I also think that royalty & their upkeep is an expensive white elephant

No, I don't love her and she's not 'my queen'. I don't consider myself a subject because I believe her authority no longer exists. Yeah, she may cost 65p a year (or so the propaganda tells us) but I can think of better things to do with my 65p.

I serve the goddess, Isis, and we call her the Queen of Heaven. That's where the Christians got the name for their goddess, Mary. I love Her and do not think it costs me anything I can not pay easily and with joy.

I have difficulty with the idea that tax dollars continue to support a life style. In England for example, the structures and various items that represent the Royal family should be preserved for historical reasons, but to use tax dollars to keep the living heirs in comfort and style commensurate with royalty of ages gone by, is wrong.

I still believe in the monarchy and love the concept of a royal family...(let's face it, the Queen is better looking still, than our Prime Minister...John Howard !!)..haha...
Seriously tho, I am truly hoping Princess Mary will become Queen in Denmark...She is "True Blue" as in Ozzie and Royal...

Yes the Queen is a dutiful, noble woman who does a lot of work evn though she is 80 now. The cost is 65p per person per year - pretty good value.

the queen and the royal family in general cost us something in the region of 65 pence per person per year, I wish i could getaway with paying my ex wife that amount, So it seems to me that it is good value for money.

More seriously i feel that she puts and keeps Britain an the map all over the world and generally seen as a apolitical ambassador for us.
