Noble Prize; 5 different categories..
Physics
Chemistry
Literature
Peace
Medicine
Economics

You are probably thinking of only #5 the 'Peace Prize'. This is awarded by the Norwegian Parliament to "the person who shall have done the most or the best work for fraternity among nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses".

It would be all too easy to say there is no 'Peace in the Middle East' but that is actually not fair..... only a few bad people spoil it for the rest of humanity as always.

I would invite you to back up your claim as Mahatma Gandhi was nominated for the prize twice in his lifetime. The year Gandhi died, there was no Peace Prize. The Prize cannot be given posthumously, and therefore they chose not to award it to anyone in honor of Gandhi.
