It's obvious. The universe has expanded to the point that one of the strings of the string theory has snapped causing a rip in the space-time continuum right over your city! This means that every possible parking spot is both empty and filled at the same time, possibly with 10 car vertical stacking!
On the up-side, with worm holes opening all around you, you can probably leave the car at home and just time-travel to work, get done yesterday and return a week from a year two months ago.
Sounds like time for Klingon shooters!
Peace

You can't find a parking space even though the universe is expanding because as the universe expands so does the number of humans; thus creating more need for transportation and parking spaces. It is a catch 22 problem. My suggestion....reserve a parking space in either the Arctic or Antarctic although do not forget to factor in walking time. As the universe expands please remember to update the formula.

The universe may be expanding but car parks in universities and hospitals don't seem to be keeping up.

Good question !
Because the no of cars is increasing & parking spaces are shrinking. The universe is expanding in places you cannot drive to..

If the universe is expanding then it also means everything inside it also expands, your car and the park also expands at the same rate so proportionally, the car is as big as its previous state with respect to the park

I've just been Christmas shopping so this is the best question I've read in months! In the parking lots today I had to wonder if they didn't count all the cars in the world and then make that number of spaces, minus 10.

The true answer is, that as the universe is expanding, tiny little gremlins are taking over parking lots puting inflatable cars in the good parking spots. Those evil gremlins!

No, the car is not expanding. The universe IS but not at a fast enough pace to make room for your car. Sorry.
