I'm transitting Frankfurt, for half a day. From morning till around noon. Could anybody suggest where should I visit (so that I will be in time for my train in the afternoon?

Well, in a half day there is not much to do. You don't say when your are going. If it is before x-mas, I would say walk around the big x-market down town. Get you something to eat and some Guehwein!
If you do not want to go to the x-mas market, go to a restaurant which servers you with traditional food. Maybe you woud like to check out: Apfelwein Klaus. This is located at the "Fressgass" and for my taste it serves the best food for a decent price.
Time to really check out things is to short.
Just get some rest while you are transitting.

Frankfurt is a big city, hard to see a lot in that short amount of time. Also you don´t want to go to far away from the trainstation if you absolutly have to catch your train. I´m sure once you leave there you will want to return for a longer visit.

At the trainstation there is a tourist office with free maps. They can help. The Palmgarten is really nice, maybe not so great this time of year, but nice. The Zoo. Downtown the new buildings and structures. Depends what your fancy is. Or just sitting in the train station at a cafe and people watching.

Enjoy the city.. and happy holidays
