Year, make and model would help, but most likely a bad blower motor resistor.

You don,t mention the make/model of the vehicle but high speed blower motor only usually turns out to be a bad 'Blower Motor Resistor'. A fan will run at high speed always unless the resistor reduces the voltage supply to the motor and when the resistance elements go bad then you are left with high fan only.

Iknowthis seemed to have the best answer. Blower motor resisters go bad more often than a switch.

I agree with Tomcat. It might be a bad switch. If it was a fuse, the fan wouldn't work at all.

this is for sure the fanmotor relay is bad.. look at you relay panel if u have one, and take it out and buy one and replace it.. if u r n an old car, you will need an electrical parts locater guide. not all shops have them. call till u do and have them put it in. it may involve taking the dash apart.
