My girlfriend (age 25; an Anna Kournikova look-alike) sometimes wears a cute mini (3" above the knee), some black leather knee-high boots (stiletto heel), a nice turtleneck sweater, and a classy long-coat to go out with her girlfiends or just casually when going out after work.
She's from Europe where practically EVERY young lady dresses like this. The problem is, the other ladies here practically want to claw her eyes out. They call her 'slut', 'tramp', 'skanky', 'stay away from my man', etc. What's wrong with them? Why is it so bad to try to dress up this way? Is she doing something sinfully wrong or are the other women just being too jealous that she's got a great body and enjoys showing it off (Its a European thing).

There's nothing wront with the look...it's just making them feel insecure because the either can't pull it off, or didn't think of it themselves.
In about a month, the same ladies will be wearing the same outfit themselves as they see it more and more.

People are petty like that.

I'm European and i have no problem with what she is wearing. I dress like that all the time, the boots and skirt look really feminine and elegant with a polo neck jumper. Every second girl dresses like that where I live. I think that they are just jealous tbh. I mean, how do they dress? I think that your girl friend should just keep doing her thing and dressing the way she feels comfortable. After all, they are the ones with the problem, not her.

The fashion among young women is minis with leggings. Boots are common too, although the spiky heel is not as popular in either Europe or the UK. She sounds like she is a little over the top than most Europeans, but I can not imagine that too many US women would be that upset with her look. Are you a boot fancier yourself? This could have more to do with your own libido than her fashion choices.

I think Fashion "faux pas" are a matter of taste and perception. What one person thinks looks dire could be someone else's favourite item/style. For example something which could look wonderful on a supermodel would be an absolute nightmare if someone normal wore it. :)

I think her outfit's cute! Don't mind those people. yeah, it's a girl thing that when a pretty girl comes around, the others just get jealous. They'll never admit that of course.

It actually depends where you're at, if your in a big city then its ok, if you're in a small conservative town/City then dress appropriately.
