You are so right.

December 25th birthday of Christ...... ummmm ...
NO, not according to the Bible anyway.

Bible states that Joseph and Mary were traveling to Nazareth so because of the Roman Census. That Census ONLY took place one time, March of 4 A.D. so Christ was born in March.

December 25th is the B'day of Mithras... Deity that Emperor Constantine followed. In 313 A.D. he forced the entire Christian community to call this day a 'Holy Day' on pain of death.

I think unfortunately alot of people see Christmas as an enjoyable but financially hard time of year!

The meaning of Christmas is all but lost on a very big proportion of the population, also i don't believe alot of people take the story of Christ seriously, they treat the story as a legend and not as factual events that really happened.

It's a sad state of affairs now that Christmas means for many people getting into debt! Especially those of a low income.

Due to the incredible pressure from peers family and co-workers people feel obligated to focus on the material aspects of Christmas versus the spiritual.

The answer is only too obvious, the reason why most people forget about what Christmas is about is becuse most people really are not Christians, or at best Christians in name only.

Forget or just don't really care? It's all about getting the right present, killing a tree, using to much electricity, eating too much.
