why do we fall in love and get goosebumps and shivers whenever we think about our loved one?

Biology. Once human beings shifted from having females enter estrus only at certain times of the year (like most other mammals) and we began to be fertile all of the time, we needed a mechanism to spark the interest of the males (who were conditioned to only respond to the females scent during rutting season). The physical conditions you mention were part of that compensation in our evolution. "Love" is a biological response to constant estrus. It is a survival instinct we developed along with the physical symptoms you describe.

Its natural. We were made to love. Anyone who doesnt love is not human. I love being in love. Its part of life. Dont you just love the butterflys when they ring you, and the goosebumps when they touch you. When they leave..you miss them. Its great!

Love is a stage in human behaviour, first you feel you need food then shelter, next is security. then friendship, if all is been reached satisfactorily or you felt satisfied, next you'll decided to feel love. its like sequence in the brain maturation. then you'll want marriage, then children, then beauty and neatness, then God or spirituality.
Shivers and goosebumps is the body's reaction to your brains instruction. in that case you have choosen to feel total excitement or amazed in any event.

this is a very good question. and maybe i won't give you the right answer. everybody needs to be loved by someone and everybody needs to love some one. and when you like someone so much you wished to be with that person so badly that when you meet him/her you get butterflies in your stomach. is is, in my opinion, the most beautiful felling that a person can go throw.
