If they are larger files then your computer might freeze up when it tries to delete them. I suggest highlighting the icon (once you've found them on your hard-drive) and holding down the shift key when you hit delete. This is the "do not go to the recycle bin, do not collect $200" method.

Cheers and happy deleting... just make sure that you don't delete anything that you really want to keep.

Just right click on the file and left click on Delete. After you get done deleting the ones you can get rid of. Run your Disk Cleanup...

Start>all programs>accessories>system tools>Disk Cleanup

Follow the same path again and run Disk Defrag.

You would also want to run a registry cleaner. I us RegScrubXP...

Download RegScrubXP--http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=2048

Safely cleans junk out of the Windows 2000/XP system registry. All changes made to the registry are fully restorable to it's original condition. You can make an exclusion list of registry entries that RegScrubXP will not display as problems. You can sift through a list of file extensions, company names, run upon startup programs, Internet Explorer history, and uninstall programs to delete what you think is junk.

Another program I use everytime I log off is CleanUp. I have never had a problem with what it deletes.

Free disk space, make your computer run better/faster and protect your privacy - all in one easy solution. All for free!
