It isn't bad at all. I'm a vegetarian (because I despise the taste of meat).

Just eat varied food and you're fine. It's best to eat a bit of every foodgroup everyday, but that's the same with everyone else. You just need to find alternative sources of vitamins and minerals to meat.

And you can get lots of variation in food. Probably moreso than most people do with meat.

it isn't bad just difficult and the eater has to be knowledgeable. when you cut out all the living creature products and bi-products from your diet..you must substitute with subliments that our vegetarian, for the vitamins and minerals that are typically in the animal products, and typically not in vegtable products that our bodies need, in the exact quanities that our bodies need them..and vegetarian means being able to eat eggs and cheese and other animal bi-products. vegan mean wanting to eat anything animal. more is good for the body about being vegetarian than is bad. and i'm talking health reasons not animal rights reasons..which is a whole nother issue.

Man is carnivorous and therefore needs large amounts of protein to live. A good example of this is Hindu people. Look how tiny they are and you get an idea of why protein is essential for health in humans. You can get some protein from certain vegetables like beans and other things but not the amount needed to live a healthy lifestyle.

It is far better than eating dead animals for no reason. I have been a vegetarian for years. I get more protein than meat eaters. And physically, I am healthier by far than most women in my age group. Plus, I don't sweat and stink the way meat eaters do in the summer. :)

It's not bad.

We only need about 4-7 grams of protein a day. Read some labels, and I think you'll find you can get it from a peanut butter sandwich or container of yogurt or something like that.

People only say it's bad because they don't think it's for them. . .and that's fine, but don't scare others into thinking it's dangerous.

I've read somewhere that it can be bad for pregnant women. But in that case it would probably be best to consult a doctor.

Apart from that I don't think it's bad at all.

It's not as long as you are able to take care of yourself and get enough protein in your diet. It's not a big deal and there is nothing wrong with it.
