Rizal was not just a great doctor but he was also a great writer, novelist, sportmen etc etc... He was not just intelligent but he is well rounded, that's why he became our National Hero... because he's a multilinguist and like any other man Rizal had meet lot's of girls and had made them fall in love with him... what could you get more looks and brains ^^, So my guess he wrote that poem for one of his many girls ^^, or could it be that he dedicated it to his mother like everyone knows Jose Rizal was the youngest of the 12th and he was the closest to their mother ^^,
