The best place to visit would be the TOILET. It stinks and gross.

best place for what ? you should stated you preferences like shopping or beaches or greenery or nite life etc etc so we could provide you with better answers.
anyway, best shopping ? some said KL [ SuriaKLCC, Petaling Street, Centre Market, Mid-valley Megamall etc] but actually is just any where in Malaysia depend on what are you looking for.
Best beaches ? All those islands at the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia [ Redang, Perhentian, Gemia, Lang Tengah, Tenggol, Kapas, Tioman, Rawa, Sibu, Aur, Pemmanggil etc] n Sabah [ Layang-Layang, Sipadan, Mabul etc]
Best highland/hill resorts ? Gunung Jerai, Genting Highland, Fraser Hill etc.
Best food ? some would argue its got to be Penang, but actually is just anywhere depend on you taste ! There are simply too many type of delicacy available from Malay, Chinese, Indian, Western to local specialty etc etc !
Best natural environment ? Taman Negara or National Park, Hutan Royal Belum, Taman Negeri Endau Rompin, Tengu Abdul Rahman Park etc etc.

Well, there're many places to visit in Malaysia! But I'd like to suggest you to go to Sabah! It has all in one state - from the highest mountain to the deepest blue ocean! It like the best place for the adrenaline junkies!
Mt. Kinabalu is one of the highest mountain in Southeast Asia with 4101 m height. It can be easily done by 2d1n trekking up the mountain and it's quite cheap for around 500 Rm.
And if you wanna do some scuba diving you can go to Sipadan and Mabu island. It is the world-class scuba diving site there but it's quite expensive!
If you wanna find rain forest safari, you can go to sipilok for Orang-utang preservative center and many wild borneo national park around!
For the person who's fasinating in shopping and modern city - just go to Kaula Lumper! It offers you everything you wanted. There're nearby casino which is on cameron highland too!

If you want the best food go to Penang. But I have to say that my favorite place in Malaysia would be Malaca.

you have to go to cameron highlands. go see the plantations. especially the boh tea plantations. it's really beautiful out there. then, go to redang. redang's the best place to go snorkeling. shopping, you have to go to kl of course. there's the shopping malls: Petronas Twin Towers or KLCC, mid valley mega mall, one utama, ikano power centre, the curve. there's also petaling street where you can get great bargains. if you wanna watch movies, go to the cineleisure in damansara. it's always empty 'cause it's new. so this is all the info I know. good luck.
