Yes, and I wouldn't wish either/or on anyone. Not only is it extremely painful, but it is also very humiliating. My now late mother often did the latter to myself and my siblings when we were kids if she knew we were about to prove her wrong, or point out that she was not being consistent with what she said.

Many times- the secret is to punch back harder and they won't do it again.
If it's a woman's slap- just grin and bear it- girls don't hit very hard and fake teeth are plentiful.

My dad slapped me once when I was about 10 or 11 for calling my sister stupid. He did it in front of a friend; he was a real bastard.

Yes in yr 8 and OMG .. at first I was shocked .. then i punched her right back!!
Gave her a big egg on her forehead!!
She never came near me again throughout my time in school.

each from time to time human beings extremely should get hit. I under no circumstances initiate fights yet are transforming into in stupid fights at or outdoors or bars and stuff like that. i trust undesirable afterwords because its stupid and unnecessary and likewise I dont favor to damage all of us you recognize.
