If you want to use some other pic or a photo, then this requires a 360 account and this is a 3 step process

1) Create your Yahoo! 360 account at http://360.yahoo.com
Note: You need to be 18 or older to open a 360 account.
So far, this is the only option if you want to use some other picture or photo. The only three options for pics you have on your Answers profile is no pic, Yahoo avatar, or 360 picture.

2) Upload a couple of pictures to your 360 page.
On your 360 page, select "My Page" from the top.
Select "Edit Personal Photos" on the left hand side.
Browse to your saved photo(s) (in jpeg format) to upload it.

This link will take you right to the 360 upload page, http://upload.360.yahoo.com/edit/photos....
Select the "Set as Primary" button next to the photo want displayed on other sites (like Answers) and select "Save"

3) Display your 360 picture on Answers
Go to your Answers profile, http://answers.yahoo.com/my/my_edit........
In the "Picture" section, select "Use my Yahoo! 360 Picture"

Finally, a little patience is required. Sometime it takes a little time for the updates to show up on the Answers page.

These links I used on me i dont know if it will work with you

//360.yahoo.com go there register and yeah go.

Go into your Yahoo e-mail account. Click the generic avatar that currently represents you. Follow the instructions. Then you will no longer have a blank expression.
