Ballroom and jazz are dance styles, not individual dances. Salsa, mambo, tango are individual dances. Tango (its certain varieties) are part of Ballroom.
Salsa and mambo are very similar in regard that they are dances to similar music. Also, to some degree, basic step is the same, but it is danced to a different count. I suggest you search youtube.com for what the dances look like and you search wikipedia.org for more information on every dance.
Here are examples of what Tango looks like:

Ballroom and jazz aren't dances but dance genres. Go to an American ballroom studio to learn salsa, mambo, tango, foxtrot, waltz, etc. You might want to start a search at the Wickipedia listing for ballroom dance.

They all have different moves and different speeds. For instance, Salsa is a faster dance while Ballroom is usually slower.
