I honestly think that Israel fears the Arab countries, because they are essentially surrounded by nations with such a different history, and ethic than their own. I am sure they would much rather peaceful co-exist, but to date it seems to be an very distant dream indeed.

in spite of your question, which i am not even sure if you are simply not knowing or if you are posing an anti israel question on purpose, the facts speak for themselves. ever since 1948 when israel was recognized as a nation, her arab neighbors have either tried to eradicate israel, or sponsor those terror groups that wish for israel to cease to exist.
arab countries have started and lost various wars, resulting not only in humiliation, but loss of land. today while no arab country actually dares to engage in overt military action against israel, they do fund and otherwise support groups like hezbolla and hamas, who are determined to attack, destroy and kill as many civillian targets as possible, while using arab civillians as human shields in an attempt to thwart israeli retaliation.
for, the record there are several arab nations that peacefully co-exist with israel,,,either with signed peace treaties, exchanging of diplomats and through commerce, namely jordan and egypt.
the question better to be asked is why do most arab countries hate israel?

Arabs are taught from birth to hate the Jews. It's no secret. It's just a vicious fact I don't mean it to be mean, I'm just stating the obvious.

Israel hates Arab countries just like Arab countries hate them! there is hate between those nations! but I'm pretty sure that if the civilians would take control there will be no hate its just political stuff!
