The best and easiest way to connect it to the internet is wirelessly through an access point, which can be done in a few ways.

1.) Purchase a wireless router. This can either be an actual modem with wireless capability or a router that connects several computers to the internet (via ethernet or WiFi). You can even access their IP menu and add some security settings if needed (there are several walkthroughs on the net for specific routers to add security). There are several brand names to choose from, like Linksys or Belkin, and you can generally pick one up for less that $50.

2.) Go through Nintendo and purchase their USB WiFi Connector. I haven't ever used one, but it is similar to the wireless router, I hear. It sends out its own access point signal that should be easy to connect to. I believe it isn't more than $30, and should be at several retailers.

I'm sure there are more than that, but those are your best options. To actually connect the Wii to your wireless access point, you'll need to access the settings menu and connect to it. If you add security settings, you will need to manually add the information you need (walkthroughs explain how to do it for your computer, and it is the same for the Wii). If not, and your router/USB Connector is broadcasting the access point, you just make the Wii search for the access point to connect to. Then you should be all set! Hope that helps.

You can't do that yet. They will update all Wiis in late December and January for the internet connection. I hope that this helps you!
