I found the article very interesting. There are so many possibilities for the use of information people collectively post on the web, but I'm too lazy at this moment to type a long response. I'm sure it has been monitored for quite some time and recognition is just now being issued--too late to protect yourself.

It's interesting because internet comunites can have alot of power. However because of the percieved anonymity of the web it rarely has any of the responsibilty attached to it.
Just look at the original napster, it scared the hell out of the RIAA, but by them having it shut down it spawned untold multitudes of P2P networks, and help lauch bittorrents into the masses. Now instead of the average web user knowing how to just share his music, he can just as easily share that, and anything else he has on his PC.
