9x^2 + 3x - 2 = y
(3x - 1)(3x + 2) = y
If y = 0, x = (-2/3, 1/3)
If x = 0, y = -2

x^3 + 2x^2 - 16x - 32 = y
x^2(x + 2) -16(x + 2) = y
(x^2 - 16)(x + 2) = y
(x + 4)(x - 4)(x + 2) = y
If y = 0, x = (-4, -2, 4)
If x = 0, y = -32

If the equations are simultaneous,
x^3 - 7x^2 - 19x -30 = 0
x = 9.369570209
y = 816.2083238
is the point of intersection of the two curves.

it's an incorrect equation
The 2nd part would give a negative number, while the 1st part will always produce a positive number, so both of the "y" would never be equal.
