I crave...
Maybe crave is not the right word for what i'm about to write.

I want someone that will listen to me. I don't want my thoughts to be ridiculed or provoke hostility or relentless questioning. I just want to be heard. I don't want agreement or even a response. I just want someone that will listen to me not only because he wants to but because he loves the sound of my voice.

Yes, it's kind of superficial.

But after being in a relationship for three years, i've learned the importance of having someone that will just let you speak and not attempt to demean you or degrade your words into nothing more than 'rambling'.

I don't know...

It seems like i am destined to listen to all the cries while no one is willing to listen to me.

Since I am a living human being, I am doing BOTH.

I am "crying to be listened to" when I reply to posts that ask for attention, help, support and a strong shoulder or an open ear.

I am "listening to all the cries" when I read the neverending posts that ask for guidance and answers.

But most of all, through the ears and tears by myself and others, I am gaining valuable knowledge about life, love, and longings.

And believe me, my friend, that cry is a sound of JOY.

Good question. Thanks for posting it.

I listen to all the cries and try to help what is wrong with the criers. That's my job.
