Wrestling is choreographed not fake. Kinda like football. They have plays and moves and there is a definite risk of injury.

Wrestling is known as Sports Entertainment. The stories are made up, the lines scripted, and people known as the "bookers" derict the outcome. The ref are trained to relay messages back and forth and to watch for signals from the bookers and management to then instruct the wrestlers what to do. The only two things real in wrestling are one: the entertainment and two: some people do get very seriously injured. I do believe that conversation between Vince M. and Ted Turner explains it best. Turner called Vince when he bought WCW and told Vince that he was now in the Wrestling Business. Vince replied, "That's nice, but I am in the Entertainment Business" I hope I helped.
