this is a limited edition book (bloody big book) which details uniteds history from the very beginning before the football league was formed, to the present day at time of going to print it is filled with photo's, quotes, tables, facts and statistics from every generation of uniteds' history. this is the ultimate collectors item for the ultimate united fan. although at £3000 it is a bit much for the average fan to afford without getting into heavy debt, maybe it could be released in dvd/cdRom format too.
i don't think it is exploiting the fans as no-one is saying "you must have this or your not a true fan" it will be bought by those who can afford to own such a luxurious item, i know if i had a spare £3k i'd buy one without hesitating although finding a big enough bookshelf would be a problem.

overall i think this is worth every penny and a damn good investment.

Honestly ...I never thought he was ever going to break into the Senior Squad.....I was surprised he lasted that long. I do think he was brought in as bait for United to capture more of the Asian Market....( which is the biggest in terms of Financial reward outside of the UK ) Even the Premier League itself has taken advantage of this fact, hence the midday games (which happens to be prime time TV in Asia)

Yes I do think it`s worth the money mentioned, From what John W, has written about the book it sounds amazing and it will never lose it`s value, of course it would have been nice if it was not so expensive, but, then if it had been cheaper the contents would not have been so good.

As a Man U fan I can see the appeal in such a worthy tome however 3 grand does seem a bit steep for a book.

Nope that sounds ridiculous and like they're exploiting the fans to me - although this is probably aimed at the corporate/lottrey winner market.

Shame on them

If I could afford it, I wouldn't hesitate and bought it at once! And yet I can't allow myself to buy it...yet!
