i tried 2 make someone feel better by covering up another mistakes... i knew i've made things worse but i didnt wana see her hurt

I can't believe you didn't get any answers to this...
It's a pretty damn good question.
The only thing i can think of right now due to my exhaustion is that i've lied to correct a wrong. I guess it's just easier to make things better by exaggerating the truth or degrading the truth...
I'm not proud of it but what can i say...
You do what you have to do to get by.
