It would be nice if racism didn't exist,but there will always be racists,and racist organizations around until we are all dead. Some people just have to hate for no reason.

It's not a matter of education. It's bias and a generation of personal opinion and fears and that can't be "educated" out of anyone. Individuals have to have the will to accept others differences and stop being threatened by hard earned successes. It's about power and control. The racists don't consider that was the means by which this country was taken over from the true natives, however, they don't want the same thing to happen to them. There will always be racism even if everyone is biracial because the ethnic backgrounds will still be different. The fear unchanged.

Little children do not start out racist.. they must be taught.
If we want them to not be racist, integration is an important first step. Even if the parents are racist, if the children are raised together and are taught in the schools the realities of equality, they will reject their parents ignorant prejudices.
This has been proven so often. If you can bring together kids who have been brought up to hate each other, like the Muslim Palestinians and the Jews, and encourage communication and play, they become friends and realize that they have less things that are different than they have things in common. (See the documentary film "Promises")
I told my kids when they were tiny that God made people like He made flowers--- all colors.
There is really only one race-- the human race-- the details are insignificant.

Society can "try" to teach people that everybody is created equal, but people know better. Clearly, some genetic groups are, on average, better than others. Just as some types of dogs are smarter than others. It's part of the natural order of things. In the
Anglican hymn "All Things Bright and Beautiful", this exact idea is explicitly expressed.

educate people in understanding that we are more alike than we are different. teaching people tolorance and acceptance. you don't have to go around hugging everyone and loving everything they do and believe in, but at least work on being more open-minded and accepting of things you don't understand. that alone will help with the fear and loathing some people have. it begins in the home, during childhood. so many people are missing out on the awesome varied cultures we are fortunate to have in america.

Start them young and keep reinforcing the message with positive images of people's achievements when the barriers are down.

unfortunately we just can't do anything about ignorant people who hate without reason. however it is true that it begins with children and what they are taught. i raised my children colorblind and i wouldn't have it any other way. i would not want them to miss out on the privilege of meeting some wonderful people.
