I don't belive we should for something that is faulty but who decides what is faulty and what isn't?

The problem lies with the definition of the word 'faulty' as people will want to return items for a huge range of reasons, some will even make them up.
If a product is physically damaged then it's probably 98% down to the postal service, i can't see any dealer sending something already damaged so looking at it from their point are they responsible for that when it's extremely well packed?

If something simply doesn't work then we should have the right to return it with no costs involved, it would be a shame where an honest dealer bought them in good faith as it could put him out of business.

There are 2 sides to this, there are limits to what is fair on both sides, but with the massive rise in Ebay fraud and the company doing absolutely nothing to stop it, receiving something faulty is the least of our worries.

That's a good point.. I'm not an E-bay user but if you have to pay for return postage, then it depends why you're returning it right..? If it's faulty then the seller should pay or if you change your mind then you should.. I guess..?

And I agree with the preaching thing.. Even if you're Muslim, don't preach to me unless I ask..

Because the Post office, is not selling you the goods, nor is e-bay, you are buying from a third party. To sop fraud, that is - another party from putting a business out of business, postage is paid by the person whom received the goods, until the fault can be verified by the sender - then it should be recompensated.

eBay sellers should operate a returns policy which is clearly stated in the auction. In most cases it does involve you paying to return the goods but if the person is sending you a replacement then they are paying twice to send the first one and then the replacement out to you.

I've paid to return things before but sent via the cheapest service possible but made sure I got a proof of posting.

shoppers continually pay to have some thing shipped decrease back to the seller. Why might want to the seller pay on your shoppers regret? No public sale website will pressure any seller to pay go back shipping costs. some thing you purchase from ebay you run the probability of things being interior the shape you describe or worse, You supply to get in this organization so deliver it decrease back at your man or woman rate or you wont get a reimbursement with no extra monitoring quantity decrease back to the seller.

It's up to sellers to set their own return policies. You should read their feedback before buying.

If you have a good seller you won't. Always check the feedback to see that it is at least 99%.
