Well, you could turn around and say, "Honey, I found two empty seats over here!"
Or, you could try it in the right place. If I see a hottie, I pick up a barstool from across the bar, walk all the way over to her and set it down next to her, and ask, "Is this seat taken?" There's a big difference between what I just typed and the way that you presented it. You won't get that answer if you do it my way, unless you do it to the same lady.

I'll respond by saying:
" Judging from your snooty attitude i am sure it is going to remain empty for a looooooooong time, enjoy your evening"
Then i will promptly sit down and see it as a bonus if she vacates her chair.
That way, if i see some-one i like i can offer them the chair next to me!
WHOOA, Problem sorted.
